Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of iKumeed, including the website located at ikumeed.com, our mobile applications, and all related features (together, the "Platform"), operated by IT Creative Solutions, a company/organisation registered in India ("iKumeed", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, browsing the Platform, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. What iKumeed Is — and Is Not
iKumeed is a community platform that helps connect voluntary blood donors with people in need of blood, hospitals, blood banks, and emergency responders across India. We provide matching, communication, and coordination tools to make it easier for donors and recipients to find each other.
iKumeed is not a blood bank, hospital, laboratory, or licensed healthcare provider, and we do not collect, store, test, or transport blood. We do not perform medical screening, verify donor health status, or guarantee the safety, purity, or compatibility of any blood donation. All medical screening, eligibility checks, collection, and transfusion decisions are made exclusively by qualified healthcare professionals at licensed blood banks and hospitals, in accordance with applicable law and medical guidelines. Nothing on the Platform is, or should be treated as, medical advice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to create an account or use the Platform. By registering, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [support email] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We may require identity or contact verification (such as OTP or document checks) before certain features, including emergency requests or messaging, become available to you.
5. Terms for Donors
By registering as a donor, you agree to provide truthful and current information about your health, blood group, location, and donation history to the best of your knowledge. Registering as a donor does not create any obligation to donate — donation is always voluntary, and you may decline or withdraw from any request at any time, including after initially responding.
Final eligibility to donate is determined solely by the qualified medical staff at the blood bank or hospital where donation takes place, not by iKumeed. You should follow all applicable medical guidance, disclose your health history honestly to medical staff, and never donate if you are unwell, ineligible, or have been advised to defer.
6. Terms for Recipients and Requesters
If you post a blood request (including an SOS/emergency request) on behalf of yourself or another person, you confirm that the request is genuine, that the information provided (blood group, hospital, urgency, and quantity) is accurate, and that you have the authority to make the request. Misuse of the request system — including posting false, exaggerated, duplicate, or fraudulent requests — is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.
7. Voluntary, Non-Remunerated Donation Only
Blood donation facilitated through iKumeed must always be voluntary and non-remunerated. You may not offer, request, solicit, or accept money, goods, or any other consideration in exchange for donating or receiving blood through the Platform. This applies to all communications, whether public or private, on or off the Platform in connection with a match made through iKumeed.
We operate a reporting and enforcement system for violations of this rule and other trust and safety concerns (see our Trust & Safety policy for full details). Accounts found to be in violation may be restricted or permanently banned, and we may report unlawful conduct to appropriate authorities where required.
8. Emergency (SOS) Requests
Our SOS and urgency-based matching features are provided on a best-effort basis to help surface nearby, compatible donors more quickly during emergencies. We do not guarantee that a donor will be found, that any donor will respond, or that blood will be available within any particular timeframe. In a genuine medical emergency, always contact your hospital, blood bank, or local emergency services directly and do not rely on the Platform as your sole means of obtaining blood.
9. No Payment for Blood, No Monetary Donations
iKumeed does not accept, process, or facilitate monetary donations, payments, or financial contributions of any kind through the Platform, whether for blood, platform operations, or any campaign. We are not a fundraising or payment platform, and no feature of the Platform should be understood as a request for or facilitation of money. Any person claiming to collect money on behalf of iKumeed, or requesting payment in connection with a blood donation or request made through the Platform, is not authorised to do so — please report this immediately (see Section 12 below).
10. Badges, Impact Cards, and Recognition
Badges, impact cards, leaderboards, and similar recognition features are provided for motivational and community purposes only. They have no monetary value, cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash or any other benefit, and may be modified, reset, or discontinued by us at any time without liability.
11. Verified Partners
Hospitals, blood banks, and other organisations listed as partners on the Platform are independent third parties. While we take reasonable steps to verify partner information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or quality of services provided by any partner, and any dealings you have with a partner are solely between you and that partner.
12. Acceptable Use
When using iKumeed, you agree not to: (a) impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone; (b) post false medical, contact, or location information; (c) harass, threaten, or abuse other users; (d) solicit or offer payment for blood or organs; (e) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, including circumventing applicable blood donation or medical laws; (f) scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security; or (g) upload content that infringes another person's rights or violates applicable law.
13. Reporting, Suspension, and Appeals
Users who have interacted through the Platform (via an approved chat or a donor response to a request) can report suspicious or abusive behaviour, including requests or offers of payment for blood. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and accounts may be temporarily restricted where multiple valid reports accumulate, or where we otherwise determine a violation has occurred. Restricted users may submit an appeal within the applicable window; if no successful appeal is made, the restriction may become permanent. We may dismiss reports found to be inaccurate or made in bad faith. Full details are available in our Trust & Safety policy.
14. Content You Provide
You retain ownership of the content (profile details, messages, testimonials, images, etc.) you submit to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant iKumeed a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform. You are solely responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
15. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, design, logos, "iKumeed" branding, and underlying technology, is owned by iKumeed or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited licence to use the Platform for its intended purpose, no rights are granted to you in our intellectual property.
16. Third-Party Services
The Platform may rely on or link to third-party services (such as mapping or notifications). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service, and your use of such services is subject to their own terms.
17. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any donor will be found, respond, or be medically eligible to donate. iKumeed does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not responsible for the outcome of any blood donation, transfusion, or medical procedure arranged or facilitated through the Platform.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, iKumeed and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of life, health, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Platform, any interaction with another user or partner organisation, or any donation, transfusion, or medical outcome, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
19. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless iKumeed and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
20. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud or misuse, legal or regulatory requirements, or to protect the safety of our community. You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable record-keeping requirements.
21. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the details of our Grievance Officer are as follows:

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and failing that, shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in New Delhi, with the arbitration conducted in English. Subject to the foregoing, the courts at New Delhi shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. We will indicate the date these Terms were last updated, and material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
24. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
25. Contact Us
If you have questions about these Terms, please reach us through the Contact page on the Platform or write to [email protected].
