Trust & Safety Policy
1. Why This Policy Exists
Blood donation on iKumeed must always be voluntary and unpaid. Buying, selling, or offering any form of payment or reward for blood donation is against our Terms of Service and undermines the trust that makes this community work. This policy explains what counts as a violation, how to report one, and what happens after you do.
2. What You Can Report
You can report another user if, during a conversation or interaction on iKumeed, they:
ask you for money, or offer to pay you, in connection with donating or receiving blood;
post a false, exaggerated, or fraudulent blood request;
impersonate someone else or misrepresent who they are;
harass, threaten, or behave abusively towards you; or
otherwise behave in a way that puts your safety or the integrity of the platform at risk.
Reporting is only available between people who have actually interacted — either through an approved chat, or because a donor responded to a blood request — so reports cannot be filed against someone you've never contacted.
3. How to File a Report
You can report directly from the conversation in question. You'll be asked to choose a reason (money requested, money offered, or other suspicious behaviour), describe what happened, and can optionally attach supporting evidence such as a screenshot.
4. How Reports Are Reviewed
Every report is reviewed by our moderation team. If enough separate, valid reports accumulate against the same account, that account is automatically and temporarily restricted from creating new requests, responding to requests, or messaging, while the account holder can still log in to see their status and submit an appeal.
5. Appeals
A restricted account has a limited window to submit an appeal, explaining their side and optionally attaching supporting evidence. Our team reviews every appeal. If it's approved, full access is restored immediately. If the appeal window closes without a successful appeal, the restriction becomes permanent.
6. False or Bad-Faith Reports
Our team can dismiss reports that turn out to be inaccurate or made in bad faith. A dismissed report does not count toward any account's restriction threshold. Deliberately filing false reports to harass another user is itself a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in restrictions on the reporting account.
7. Confidentiality
We keep the identity of the reporting user confidential from the reported user, to the extent possible and permitted by law, while a report is under review.
8. Serious or Unlawful Conduct
Where a report or our own review suggests conduct that may be unlawful — including the sale or purchase of blood, fraud, or threats to someone's safety — we may take additional steps, including cooperating with law enforcement or relevant regulatory authorities, in accordance with applicable law.
9. Our Commitment
We take the integrity of voluntary blood donation seriously. This system exists to protect both donors and recipients from exploitation, while giving anyone affected by a mistaken report a fair path to appeal. We may update this policy from time to time as our reporting and moderation tools evolve; material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
10. Contact Us
